The fake high road

I think one of the things I legitimately hate is when people take the fake moral or intellectual high road. They say and do things that seem to be noble on the surface (perhaps even things that are good and true but with a manipulative motive attached). The goal is to appear a certain way to a cross section of people, when in reality the goal should be to BE a certain way behind closed doors, even when lies are damaging their reputation.

It’s literally the main difference between Jesus and the Pharisees. One of them is the Truth. The others pretended to be gatekeepers to the truth for personal gain. One provided freedom, while the others forced slavery on innocents by deception.

Ultimately, deceivers are found out. You will know them by their fruit.
